The role: Are you a customer-focused individual with experience in Buying and solid business acumen? We have just the role for you!

Reporting to the Head of Buying, the Junior Buyer will support with product selection, supplier management, and inventory control to ensure a compelling and profitable product mix.  The Junior Buyer will focus on sourcing new products, negotiating terms, monitoring market trends, managing supplier relationships, and optimising stock levels to drive sales and margins.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Keep abreast of competitor offer/pricing & react where necessary
  • Be the primary contact for suppliers’ sales teams
  • Build product ranges to support promotional events
  • Seek new products to drive incremental sales
  • Set core & promotional retail pricing & maximize product margin
  • Forecast new & promotional line stock requirements
  • Provide stock & sales data for suppliers
  • Provide ad-hoc reports
  • Oversee ordering of all stock, testers & promotional items
  • Analyse performance of SKUs

What you’ll bring:

  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in Buying is essential, either as a Junior Buyer/Buyer or in a similar role.
  • Experience within the fragrance, beauty or FMCG industry is highly desirable.
  • Excellent Excel skills.
