People Advisor

 

Reporting to the People Director, the People Advisor will provide an outstanding people advisory service to the business. You will need to establish your credibility as an expert early on and build solid relationships across the business.  Alongside your day to day role you will have the opportunity to support in a number of exciting projects.

What will I be doing?

 

People

Be the main point of contact for HR/people advice and guidance particularly in relation to employee relations ensuring compliance with company policy and employment legislation, escalating to the People Director if necessary.

Attending and supporting high risk ER cases in person or over Teams as appropriate.

Ensuring our company policies and procedures are up to date and fit for purpose.

Keeping your knowledge up to date with employment legislation.

Designing and delivering training to people managers across head office and stores.

Working with people managers to understand their level of capability and provide suitable development solutions to increase their confidence and capability as managers.

Attending regional roadshows with People Director when required.

Conducting exit interviews for head office.

Tracking all cases/absences/flex working etc and producing data/metrics as appropriate.

Approving changes/starters/leavers on People XD.

Supporting plans for engagement and retention alongside wider people team.

Providing general support to the People Director and wider people team as and when required.

 

Talent

Supporting the Talent & Engagement Partner with recruitment if required.

 

What will I need?

A love of fragrance and beauty!

Relevant experience in HR and case management, ideally in a retail business or similar.

A solid understanding of investigations, grievances, disciplinaries, absence management (essential)

The ability to work under pressure and manage multiple cases in a fast paced high speed environment.

To be a self starter and be able to manage own workload.

Flexibility and adaptability and strong communication skills

CIPD qualification or equivalent

A passion for people engagement and experience

Creativity, resilience and a results driven mindset

The ability to juggle many tasks in a fast paced ever changing retail landscape.

A desire to make a difference and have impact early on

Tech skills
