Reporting to the Logistics Operations Director, this role will be responsible for managing efficient inbound and outbound product flow through the distribution centre, ensuring the financial, operational and customer service objectives are met, whilst maintain H&S standards.

The Goods in/Out Manager’s responsibilities are to maximise efficiency, optimise productivity and maintaining a high performing team.

 

You will manage a team of supervisors, team leaders and warehouse colleagues. Under your leadership, the team will be focused on and ready to tackle every challenge within their area of responsibility.

Your new role – key responsibilities

*         Manage the day to day operational efficient product flow requirements - with customer satisfaction the primary goal

*         Monitoring upcoming work for the team and provide an estimate of future resource requirements and constraints

*         Maintaining a detailed understanding of the functionality and operation of process and systems

*         Monitoring the quality and velocity of work produced by the team

*         Participate in/initiate discussions on improvements and recommendations with cross functional teams

*         Actively contributing to the process of continuous improvement within the team

*         Managing the day to day running of the team to solve day-to-day operational issues, including carrying out regular team meetings, 1:1’s with all team members and reach short and long term performance goals

*         Informing senior management of products that are not complying with Health & Safety or internal standards specifications

*         Attending regular planning meetings with cross functional teams

*         Ensuring the development standards, policies and procedures are adhered to

*         Manage the optimal resources required in the team

*         Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by establishing and enforcing standards and procedures and complying with legal requirements.

 

Key Deliverables:

*         Allocating team resources, providing timelines and managing proprieties

*         Ensuring all operational expectations are met

*         KPI’s are monitored and achieved, maintaining statistical records

*         Authorising the working hours, holidays, time off and breaks for all employees in area of responsibility

*         5 years + Experience in a similar role

*         Experience using WMS
