The role:

An integral role, the BI Developer is responsible for, producing high quality reports and analysis across the organization to enable data-driven decision making and support strategic planning by Per-Scent leadership team.

 

What you’ll be doing:

 

The design, build and automation of business reports and dashboards.

To provide well presented, accurate and timely management information.

To extract, interrogate and analyse data to support business decision making.

Presentation and communication of analysis to internal stakeholders as and when required.

Review & challenge existing internal reporting to drive increased efficiencies.

Establish and conduct regular business review meetings to analyse and determine BI requirements and develop solutions that add value. 

Build robust and efficient data sources for use in reports and dashboards 

Standardize cross-departmental data definitions, KPIs, and calculations and ensure ongoing conformance to published standards 

Policing of key data within business systems

Audits of the quality of recorded data across the business to help support various data teams. 

Continually seek to improve existing reporting processes, frequency, and distribution methods by incorporating automation techniques, initiatives, and technology trends. 

Ensure the integrity and 100% accuracy of all reports distributed 

Manage the development and UAT phases of all new reports and report enhancement

 

What you’ll bring:

 

Required experience and skills

2+ years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in a wholesale or retail environment.

Ideally educated to degree level, within an IT/Mathematical field. 

Proven experience working with Power BI 

Highly proficient in MS Office applications (particularly Excel).

Proven experience delivering presentations, visualisations/dashboards and analytics to a broad audience (technical, non-technical, exec etc.) 

Experience/Knowledge using ERP systems.

Self-motivated and dynamic with the ability to consistently work towards tight deadlines and prioritise effectively in accordance with business needs.

High level of attention to detail.

Strong customer focus and commercial acumen

Experience of Microsoft Dynamics – Business Central

Experience of MS SQL
