The Fragrance Shop are now recruiting for an Area Manager to cover the East Midlands and M1 area to join the growing team. The purpose of an Area Manager is to take full responsibility for the performance of all stores within a designated area. This involves responsibility and ownership for the Store Management team within an area, by inspiring, engaging and delivering upon our company values, sales & KPI’s. A Fragrance Shop Area Manager is also responsible for driving the achievement of all key performance indicators in stores, namely; sales and service, people, cost control, compliance and commerciality in order to achieve success in all performance related measures.

 
 
 

The success of the role is achieved by:

  • Working closely with Regional Director and stakeholders across the business to ensure key performance indicators are aligned with The Fragrance Shop business strategy and values.
  • Conducting engaging store visits on a monthly basis to achieve compliant store standards and effective action plans on how to improve overall performance.
  • Encouraging store teams to exceed customer service standards, demonstrating a customer first mentality, driving customer loyalty and retention.
  • Actively looking for ways to reduce cost for the business in order to maximise on profit.
  • Consistently driving high levels of operational excellence across the area.
  • Ensuring all internal security and controllable cost measures are adhered to in order to protect profit within your area.
  • Coaching and developing store management in order to optimise performance across the area and work towards succession planning for the whole area.
  • Effectively manage all area recruitment.
  • Ensure stores within area adhere to all company policy & procedures.

 
 
 

In order to be successful you will need:

  • A strong business acumen.
  • A proven track record of commercial success.
  • A proven track record of overseeing a team of successful performers
  • The ability to produce accurate data and provide excellent data analysis, including analysing and rectifying performance trends.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • People coaching/development skills.
  • Sound retail experience operating ideally at area level, preferably in the fragrance/beauty industry.
  • A confident individual with good presentation skills and the ability to communicate with professionalism and gravitas at all times.
  • Ability to meet set business objectives and work at both an operational and strategic level.
  • Quality sales experience with the ability to effectively coach and train individuals to exceed daily targets.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced and entrepreneurial environment.
  • Flexible approach with the ability to adapt to change.
